The Castles took their engagement photos at Disneyland!
Hello my fellow Disneyphiles! I, too, have dreamed since childhood of a Disneyland honeymoon. Growing up in Northern California, my family took a week-long Disneyland vacation almost every other summer of my childhood. Needless to say, the magic is in me for life! And while?I?didn’t ultimately honeymoon in Disneyland myself, I do plan to live vicariously through you all with today’s?Disney?honeymoon deals. Enjoy!
My tips and tricks apply to most all US?Disney?theme parks and vacations, so without further ado…
Booking Tips:?DO NOT EVEN THINK of booking without checking the current hotel and park tickets deals below, and those posted on?mousesavers.com! The site offers an exhaustive and current list of deals from the?Disney?company itself, as well as special deals for?Disney?annual pass holders,?Disney?Visa card members, Florida and Southern California residents, active duty military, and other groups that qualify for special rates. You’ll also want to pick up the latest version of “The Unofficial Guide” book for your selected?Disney?destination. The book not only has detailed descriptions of every place to eat and stay in and around the resort areas,http://www.138418.org/138418_com/201503/144.html, but also describes and reviews park rides at length,http://www.621911.org/www_621911_com/201503/165.html,香港天下彩报码, including wait times. And the absolute BEST feature of the book, the touring plans! More about those, below.
When to Book (a Timeline):More than six months before:?Pick your travel dates and book the hotel and/or vacation package. Dining options can be included so really think through what will work for you. Six months before:?Make dining reservations for specialty restaurants or character meals. Two to four months before: Book your flights. 60 days before:?Make FastPass+ reservations. If you are staying at a?Disney?property, pre-check-in to your hotel online. Within 45 days after your trip:?Finalize PhotoPass pics and download Memory Maker photos.
Best Time of Year to Go to the Theme Parks:?Weather-wise,http://www.66602.org/66602_com/201503/174.html, there’s never really a bad time to visit Southern California. Orlando weather can get cool (daytime highs in the 40s and 50s) in the late fall, winter, and early spring. However,香港天下彩报码,http://www.905208.org/905208_org/201503/159.html, the most important consideration is how busy the parks will be. To avoid packed parks and long lines, visit while school is in session. The last week of April through early June is lightest in traffic, followed by September to early October. Also good are the months of December (before Christmas), and January, except MLK day and the WDW marathon weekend.
Note: Low-traffic seasons correlate with ride closures and shorter park hours. Incorporate some weekend nights into your visit to ensure you have some later park hours, complete with parades and fireworks.
Avoid these peak traffic dates:Christmas Day to New Year’s Day Thanksgiving Weekend Presidents Day week First week of November College spring breaks Late March through the third week of April.
Top Honeymoon Tips:
As I mentioned last week, I’ve discovered a wonderful?Disney?tip that could really make your honeymoon special. Dress up when you go into the parks! Just remember,http://www.872879.org/www_872879_org/201503/166.html, comfy walking shoes, ALWAYS! Repeat after me: “I will always wear comfortable walking shoes!!” Also, be sure to tell every Disney?cast member you see that it’s your honeymoon—you won’t believe the royal treatment you get! When you check in, you can get “Just Married” buttons that ensure everyone will know.
Remember the?touring plans I mentioned above that come with “The Unofficial Guide” books? Promise me, PROMISE ME, you won’t visit a?Disney?theme park without one! It will virtually eliminate any possibility of bickering over which ride or park region to visit next, only to walk 20 minutes and find hours of waiting. There’s a plan for each park tailored perfectly for the number of days available and what want to see. The book’s corresponding website and mobile app, TouringPlans.com, give you up-to-the-minute wait times live on your phone while you’re?in?the parks and offer further customization of touring plans. There is a small subscription fee for the app, well worth it!Destination: Walt?Disney?World
The Ponies had an epic WDW honeymoon!
If you know in your heart that nothing but the ultimate?Disney?theme-park experience will fulfill your honeymoon dreams, look no further than Walt?Disney?World (WDW) in Florida. Book a WDW resort or off-property hotel for at least a solid week (10 days is better!), get out your touring plans, and lace up those walking shoes. This is about to get AWESOME! As you know, the expansive destination in Orlando,香港马会资料, Florida is comprised of not less than FOUR theme parks: the Magic Kingdom, Epcot,?Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You’re going to need time, and some careful planning (AKA your touring plans!), to see them all!
Don’t Miss at Walt?Disney?World:
The most luxurious and romantic meal you can have at WDW is at Victoria & Albert’s, described as “an elite, intimate, and elegant eatery recognized by the nation’s top food critics.”
For romance?and?adventure, book a fireworks cruise on the Seven Seas Lagoon. If you like a thrill from high up, parasail over Walt?Disney?World resort and the Seven Seas Lagoon, or try the new tethered balloon ride at Downtown?Disney.

The original Disneyland theme park! Don’t be jealous…my granddad actually worked there as a Jungle Cruise tour guide in the ’70s! And it’s still every bit as magical as it was then. Sister-park California Adventure has recently added Cars Land. The flagship ride, Radiator Springs Racers, is hands-down the best new ride to come to Disneyland since Splash Mountain.
For honeymooners, I recommend staying at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The pool area is worthy of a five-star honeymoon resort and even boasts poolside cocktail service. The world-class Madara Spa and a private entrance directly into the California Adventure park make you really feel the magic.?
Don’t Miss at Disneyland:
